Frequently asked questions

Fees, marks, timing, refusals and what parents ask first, answered plainly.

Money

What does KPGE charge?

The first counselling session, profile evaluation and university shortlist cost nothing. Application handling and visa filing are charged as a flat fee agreed in writing before any work starts. There is no percentage cut of your tuition, so the fee does not change based on which university you choose.

What will the whole thing cost?

Tuition and living costs vary widely by country, from roughly ₹9 lakh a year total in Germany to ₹45 lakh or more in the United States. The country guides have indicative ranges. You will get a written breakdown for your specific shortlist covering tuition, living, travel and a first-year buffer.

Can we get a loan for the full amount?

Often yes. Unsecured loans up to around ₹40 lakh are available for strong course-and-co-applicant combinations, and collateral-backed loans go higher. See education loans.

Eligibility

My marks are average. Is this still possible?

Often yes, through pathway programmes, foundation years, or universities that weight your subject grades over your aggregate. We will tell you in the first session which routes are realistic for your file and which are not worth your money.

I have a study gap. Does that end it?

No. The UK in particular is tolerant of gaps provided they are documented, work, illness, family responsibility or exam attempts all count if evidenced. An undocumented gap is the problem, not the gap itself.

I have backlogs. Does that end it?

Not usually. Many universities accept a defined number of backlogs, and the number varies by country and institution. We shortlist against your actual record rather than an ideal one.

My visa was refused before. Should I mention it?

Always. Authorities share refusal data, and concealing it is far more damaging than the refusal. Told early, a previous refusal can usually be addressed in the new application.

Timing

How early should we start?

Twelve to fifteen months before your intake. That leaves room for a test retake, scholarship deadlines and a visa slot. Six months is workable but removes your margin for error.

Is the January intake worse than September?

It is smaller, not worse. Course choice narrows and the biggest scholarships are attached to the main intake, but a complete January application beats a rushed September one. There is a full article on the trade.

Risk

Can you guarantee admission or a visa?

No, and neither can anyone else. Universities decide admissions and governments decide visas. Any consultant who guarantees either is telling you something they cannot deliver.

What if the visa is refused?

We tell you the refusal risk before you apply. If a refusal happens, we handle the reapplication or a deferral to the next intake at no additional professional fee. Government fees are payable again.

Practical

Can my parents speak to someone in Jaipur?

Yes. Your counsellor is based at the Mansarovar office and takes calls and walk-ins during counselling hours. Funding conversations happen with parents in the room.

Can I work while studying?

In most destinations, yes, with limits, commonly 20 hours a week during term. The limits are legal conditions of your visa, and exceeding them can end your right to stay. Each country guide covers this.

Do you help after I land?

Yes. Bank account setup, part-time work rules, and a contact here your parents can call. See accommodation and pre-departure.
