Privacy policy

What we collect when you enquire, why we hold it, who we share it with, and how to get it deleted.

This policy explains what Kamla Poddar Global Education (“KPGE”, “we”) does with your personal information. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain terms.

Last updated: [DATE]. Operated by: [REGISTERED ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS].

What we collect

When you send an enquiry form, book a counselling session or become a client, we collect:

  • Contact details, your name, phone number and email address.
  • Study intentions, the destinations, course level and questions you tell us about.
  • Academic and financial records, but only once you engage us for an application: marksheets, transcripts, test scores, passport details, bank statements and funding documents.
  • Basic technical data when you browse the site, see our cookie policy.

We do not buy contact lists, and we do not collect anything about you from social media profiles.

Why we hold it

To arrange and deliver counselling, to prepare and submit university applications on your instruction, to apply for scholarships and education loans on your behalf, to prepare visa filings, and to keep in touch about your file. We also keep records to meet our own legal and accounting obligations.

Our lawful basis is your consent when you first contact us, and the performance of our agreement with you once you engage us.

Who we share it with

Applying abroad means your documents have to travel. We share what is necessary, and only with:

  • Universities and their admissions representatives, to submit your application.
  • Banks and lending partners, if you ask us to arrange an education loan.
  • Visa authorities and application centres of the country you are applying to.
  • Test, accommodation, insurance and forex providers, where you have asked us to arrange those services.

Some of these are outside India, so your information will be transferred abroad, that is unavoidable in overseas admissions. We never sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for [24] months from your last contact with us. Client files are kept for [7] years after your application concludes, because admissions and visa records can be needed years later. After that they are deleted.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, or withdraw your consent. Withdrawing consent while an application is live may mean we cannot continue acting for you, and we will tell you plainly if that is the case.

To exercise any of these, write to our Grievance Officer, [NAME], at [EMAIL] or the address above. We will respond within [30] days.

Security

Documents are held on access-controlled systems and shared only with the parties listed above. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.

Children

Applicants under 18 must have a parent or guardian involved, and we will take their consent alongside yours.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be notified to clients with live files.
